Why whole milk seems to defy conventional nutrition wisdom

The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is in charge of the deceased’s care or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number and address are all included in this email.
All payments by families must be made with a credit card. We will send a proof of the completed obituary before we require payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive payment in full.
Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but they must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to its running for it to be published.

For most foods, it is pretty straightforward that consuming fewer calories means less obesity. It just so happens that whole milk is counterintuitive in this regard. The current studies, particularly meta-study PMC6997094, tell us that whole-milk consumption is more closely associated with less obesity compared with lower-calorie milk options.
Here are four conjectures as to why:
More fat in milk may increase metabolism, that is, it may lead to a higher rate of burning calories.
More fat in milk may lead to better satisfaction of hunger, leading to less consumption of other foods.
Whole milk may pass through the digestive system in a way that adds fewer calories to the body.
Those who consume whole milk may tend to be those who have more active lifestyles.
The science is inconclusive so far about why whole milk is associated with less obesity, but facts matter.
